Your role

As a mechanic with us, you will primarily work with preventive maintenance and improvements on LKAB's rock trucks with associated trailers, all trucks and buses, as well as some other machinery. You will also handle urgent repairs. You will independently perform some component repairs and sometimes minor welding jobs in connection with that. The work is carried out in our service workshop underground at level 1250, but also takes place to some extent in the field in the mine, which requires a high level of order and safety thinking. The position also includes documentation and some troubleshooting via computer, as well as a certain personal responsibility to prioritize tasks. In this role, you will also be the one communicating between the shifts, as this position's working hours overlap with the other shifts.

What you bring with you

We are looking for someone with training as a vehicle mechanic, preferably with a focus on heavy vehicles. You take responsibility for your work and ensure that tasks are performed safely and accurately. You collaborate well with others, are confident in your role, and dare to make your own decisions when necessary. In addition, you work solution-oriented and are keen to find practical and sustainable solutions when problems arise.

• High school education, preferably with a focus on automotive technology or equivalent experience
• Driving license for manual transmission
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Computer literacy

Meritorious

• Competence and experience with electric battery vehicles
• Mining experience
• Welding skills
